Devilworks enters ‘The Suicide Theory’ for AFM.Genre outfit Devilworks announces new titles for their AFM lineup, which includes intense Australian thriller ‘The Suicide Theory & USA Crime thriller ‘Criticsized’.
Released on NETFLIX in North America, Devilworks are repping International sales for The Suicide Theory. Directed by Dru Brown, the film tells the story of Percival, who after failing to commit suicide, pays a hit man to kill him. When that doesn't work, Percival learns that he's cursed with immortality. Not even a hired psycho can kill a cursed man who just wants to die. He's very unlucky to be alive.
Reviewed by The Hollywood Reporter…. ‘’Dru Brown's Aussie variation on the familiar genre takes some seriously clever, nasty turns’’ and Variety.…’’compelling thriller involving a tortured hitman, his willing prey, and the inexplicable curse that keeps them both from realizing their shared goal’’
The film stars Steve Mouzakis, (‘I, Frankenstein’) who also leads in the new Prison Break sequel series from 20th Century Fox, out in 2017.
Also on Devilworks’ sales slate is Cart T. Evan’s debut feature USA Crime Thriller ‘Criticsized’, starring Willie C. Carpenter (Men in Black, The Insider) Kerr Smith (My Bloody Valentine, Final Destination) and Callum Blue (Colombiana. Dartmoor Killing). Los Angeles Detective hunts down a serial killer, who’s crimes stream live through an online site.
