Carnaby Sales & Distribution has acquired the worldwide sales rights to hotly anticipated coming of age drama, Kids In Love

CARNABY SALES & DISTRIBUTION ACQUIRES WORLDWIDE SALES RIGHTS TO “KIDS IN LOVE”

American Film Market 2015 marked as official sales launch

Carnaby Sales & Distribution has acquired the worldwide sales rights to hotly anticipated coming of age drama, Kids In Love, starring  Will Poulter (We’re The Millers, The Maze Runner), Alma Jodorowsky (Blue is the Warmest Colour, Eyes Find Eyes), Cara Delevingne (Paper Towns, Pan, Suicide Squad), and Jamie Blackley (If I Stay, Snow White and the Huntsman, The Fifth Estate).

From the producers of the forthcoming Nina staring Zoe Saldana and David Oyelowo and D-Train staring Jack Black and James Marsdenthis cool British indie film was shot and is set in West London and features BAFTA rising star award winner, Will Poulter, French star Alma Jordorowsky as well as world famous supermodel and Hollywood star, Cara Delevingne. The film features scenes shot on location at the iconic Notting Hill Carnival as well as London’s hottest club, The Box in Soho.

The deal was secured by Carnaby’s joint CEOs, Andrew Loveday and Sean O’Kelly, together with Chairman and Head of Ealing Studios’, Ben Latham-Jones. London-based Carnaby will handle worldwide rights for the film and will be screening extended promo footage with buyers at AFM this week, where its official sales launch will take place.

Currently in post-production with delivery expected for Q2 2016, the film is produced by Ben Latham-Jones and Barnaby Thompson and directed by Chris Foggin, marking his directional debut. The screenplay is by Preston Thompson and Sebastian De Souza.

Kids In Love is a new take on the coming of age story set against the backdrop of bohemian London. Drifting through his gap year with its internships and travel plans, Jack (Will Poulter) has always suspected there was more to life than this. A chance encounter with the beautiful and ethereal Evelyn (Alma Jodorowsky) swerves his life radically off course. She is like no one he¹s ever met before, and he quickly becomes caught up in a whirlwind of all-day parties and wild nights in London¹s hidden dives with her charismatic friends. Giving up everything to follow Evelyn and her hedonistic lifestyle, it takes Jack a while to realise what he's leaving behind, that love isn't a game you want to lose and that these people might not be the kindred spirits he first thought.

Head of Ealing Studios, Ben Latham-Jones, said: “Kids In Love is beautifully shot, vibrant and will have a killer soundtrack. We think the film will really strike a chord with today’s younger audience. It was clear right from the beginning that Carnaby’s CEOs Sean O’Kelly and Andrew Loveday really understood the film and it seemed a perfect fit to partner with a young rising company like Carnaby to market a film with young, rising star cast and crew.”

Sean O’Kelly, joint CEO, Carnaby Sales & Distribution said: “I’m enormously proud to be working alongside such a talented team on this picture. The topical and compelling storylines have a universal appeal which will resonate with youth audiences around the world. We’re excited to bring this into the market.”
