Carnaby International is excited to present RISE OF THE KRAYS at AFM 2013 for worldwide sales.End of London during the 50s and 60s. With their gang ‘The Firm’ the Krays were involved in armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, assaults and numerous murders. As West End nightclub owners they mixed with prominent entertainers including Diana Dors, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and with many politicians. The Krays were much feared within their milieu and in the 60s became celebrities in their own right, even being photographed by David Bailey and interviewed on television. THE RISE OF THE KRAYS tracks their early years in a frightening tale of how two unknown 18 year old amateur boxers quickly fought their way to becoming the most feared and respected villains in all of London. Told through the eyes of a close friend that survived them, we see them rise to infamy through sex and murder. Their names became synonymous with crime in the UK and still it resonates today. "The Kray twins, unique and powerful people who defined their age, dramatic icons of the exciting world they inhabited and key players in London's swinging 60's, continue to fascinate us all. Our film finally gives us the answers as to why they became the most feared men in a city of millions.” Andrew Loveday Joint CEO, Carnaby International. “We are thrilled to be working with Carnaby on delivering the shocking true story on the Kray Twins. Not many people have the clout to back such a ambitious production, but we’re expecting something incredibly ground breaking as the teams that produced Rise of The Footsolider, The Wee Man and White Collar Hooligan unite to realise Paul Tanter’s exciting vision for the film.” Simon Phillips, Producer, Press On Features.
