Angel Grace Worldwide (AGW) brings three new titles to AFMTHRILLER, COMEDY AND ROMANCE ADD MARKET APPEAL
Casts Include Academy AwardÒ winner Mira Sorvino, Castle’s Stana Katic, and respected award-winning UK actors Mark Lewis Jones and Michael Jibson.
AGW founder and president Michael Fister and head of sales Terese Linden Kohn will be in Santa Monica with the trio of films that feature Academy AwardÒ winner Mira Sorvino among others.
OscarÒ winner Mira Sorvino stars in Quitters, a sexy dark comedy about a clever teenager who gets fed up with his detached dad (Ally McBeal’s Greg Germann) and mom in rehab (Sorvino)—and decides to go out in search of a new family. Also starring are Saffron Burrows (Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle), Morgan Turner (HBO’s Mildred Pierce), Kara Hayward (Manchester by the Sea) and Kieran Culkin (The Cider House Rules).
Quitters is the feature film debut of director Noah Pritzker, whose short film Little Dad was a Grand Jury Award nominee at SXSW Film Festival, and is produced by AgX’s Ben Howe and Luca Borghese (Gabriel). The film was released in the U.S. by Momentum Pictures.
The UK thriller The Lighthouse, from acclaimed director Chris Crow and Dogs of Annwn’s producer David Lloyd, stars much-respected actors Mark Lewis Jones (BAFTA Wales winner, Best Actor for The Passing, Trespass Against Us) and Michael Jibson (Disney’s upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast, The Bank Job). The film is about two men who are trapped in an isolated lighthouse by a deadly freak storm, and their quest for survival and shocking journey into madness. The film had a recent theatrical release in the UK by Soda Pictures.
Black Sand Pictures announces that AGW is handling international sales on their film Lost in Florence, starring Brett Dalton (ABC’s hit series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Stana Katic (from the worldwide hit Castle, Quantum of Solace) with Italian stars Alessandro Preziosi (Loose Cannons, Vivere) and Alessandra Mastronardi (Mediaset’s I Cesaroni, Woody Allen’s To Rome with Love).
Lost in Florence is the sixth film from writer-director Evan Oppenheimer, whose last film was the well-reviewed family hit A Little Game, starring Academy AwardÒ winners F. Murray Abraham and Olympia Dukakis, with Ralph Macchio and two-time EmmyÒ nominee Janeane Garofalo. A romantic adventure shot against the backdrop of the gorgeous Italian city, Lost in Florence is about a heartbroken American who gets involved in a dangerous local sport—and with an alluring local woman.
AGW’s lineup also includes the mob comedy Friends and Romans, featuring a reunion of several cast members from HBO’s The Sopranos, and the documentary feature Queer City, written by Christopher Bram, whose novel was turned into the Academy AwardÒ-winning film Gods and Monsters.
