After the success of the “Rise of the Krays” comes THE DOCKYARD by Vikrant Chopra

THE DOCKYARD by Vikrant Chopra

After the success of the “Rise of the Krays”, the young and talented actor Simon Cotton recently signed a new and exciting project, together with Hollywood stars such as Billy Zane and Mike Tyson!

Since the beginning, English actors have always had a special place in the film industry. They’ve amazed audiences not just in Europe but also across the Atlantic. Whatever the character, they have always been able to add new dimensions and a dramatic human touch to their roles.  And that is exactly what their strength is – excelling in deep, dramatic roles that reveal hidden human secrets and desires.

One such upcoming young actor who has incredibly talent for dramatic roles is Simon Cotton. His recent film “Rise of Krays” became the biggest selling straight to DVD feature without theatrical release in the last 5 years! A great achievement for a film in an increasing VOD dominated market selling forty thousand units in its first week.

Simon will next, show his talent in a new film that he has just signed for: Dockyard.

‘Dockyard’ is being produced by Dockyard Motion Pictures LTD, Simy Art Enterprise & JKM Group UK and is a suspense thriller to be directed by Vikrant Chopra, who is also the writer.

Simon Quote: The first time I read Dockyard I knew that I had to play the character of Joe. His story is told in such a way that it feels at once familiar, a thrilling ride through the British underbelly, but at the same time entirely new. We get sucked into Joe's world, a world of dark corners, even darker desires

The director Vikrant Chopra, also British, when asked about Simon’s involvement had this to say:

I was writing the script for five years, draft after draft to be able to put across the dark world of my protagonist Joe. In those five years I was looking for the perfect Joe, without success. When I met Simon, I soon realised my search was over. He is a very exciting actor and I look forward to extracting his potential in Dockyard.”

Stars as  Mike Tyson, Jason Fleming, Billy Zane, Lyndon Ogbourne and Australian actress, Ashleigh Brewer confirmed to co- star in “Dockyard” along with a recognized face from Bollywood, combining actors from no less than four of the world’s leading industries.

Director, Vikrant Chopra is attending AMF and is available for interviews till 12.11.15.

UPDATE

It’s just been announced that Rise of the Krays been bought by Grindstone Entertainment Group for North America

About:

Dockyard Motion Pictures Ltd was started by Vikrant & Ashwani Chopra, Jason Ash and Michael Fenton of Simy Art Enterprise and JKM Group respectively. Dockyard is the first in a long line of high quality film content the company intends to produce, bringing together international cast and crew to make films with global appeal.
