Such
is the dilemma facing Elena (Ariadna Gil)
in Gerardo Vera's smartly sophisticated
take on the perennial love triangle. Though
the couple are devoted to their young son,
married life has grown a little stale. Alberto
has met a charming orthopaedic surgeon,
Diego (Javier Bardem), and they've been
having increasingly heated trysts.
Inevitably
Elena finds out and as Alberto tries to
clarify the feelings he has for these two
people in his life, Elena grows more and
more despondent.
"The
story of Second Skin comes
at a very special point in my life," says
director Vera. "These are things I needed
to tell, things that were part of me, things
I still remember..."
