The
labyrinthine library,
central metaphor of
many texts written
by the Argentinian
writer Jorge Luis
Borges, is one of
the central images
in Tristan Bauer's
film on the occasion
of the writer's 100th
anniversary. Trying
to explore Borges'
multi-faceted universe
in a visual way, he
draws on cinematic
statements, literary
quotes and fictionalisation
of individual moments
in Borges' life and
metaphors from his
work.
