Awards: Other Awards

The end of the Berlinale is awards time. Today (Sunday 20 February) at 14.00 the winners of the Golden and Silver Bears will be made known, but some additional awards have already been announced.

El Mar* The LVT ­ Manfred Salzgeber Prize goes to El Mar by Agusti Villaronga. Special mention to Nationale 7 by Jean-Pierre Sinapi.

* The awards of the ecumenical jury went to The Road Home by Zhang Yimou (Competition), Botin De Guerra by David Blaustein (Panorama) and De grote Vakantie by Johan van der Keuken (Forum). Special prizes went to Echo by Frédéric Roullier-Gall, Media by Pavel Koutsky and Cinéma Vérité: Defining The Moment by Peter Wintonick (Forum).

* The CICAE Award went to Saltwater by Conor McPherson

* The prize of the CICAE Forum jury went to I Earini Synaxis Ton Agrofylakon (The Spring Gathering) by Dimos Avdeliodis.

* The Jury of the Guild of German Art House Cinemas awarded its prize to The Hurricane by Norman Jewison.

La Chambre de Magiciennes* The FIPRESCI Award, given by the International Film Critics Association, went to La Chambre De Magiciennes by Claude Miller. The prize for the best film of the 30th Forum was awarded to Monday by Sabu. The prize for the best film of the 15th Panorama was awarded to Paragraph 175 by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.

* The Teddy Award 2000 for the best feature film goes to Gouttes D'Eau Sur Pierres Brulantes by François Ozon. The Teddy for the best documentary film goes to Paragraph 175. The Teddy for the best short film goes to Hartes Brot by Nathalie Percillier. The Teddy Jury Prize goes to Drole De Felix by Olivier Ducastel and Jacques Martineau and Chrissy by Jacqui North.

* The Panorama People's Choice Award went to Nationale 7.

* The Wolfgang Staudte Award 2000 went to Vinko Bresan for Marsal. A special mention went to Truths: A Stream by Masahiro Tsuchihashi.

* The Caligari Award, given by the German Federal Association of Communal Film Work, went to I Earini Synaxis Ton Agrofylakon (The Spring Gathering). A special mention went to Monday.

* The Siegessäule Readers' Prize went to Drole De Félix.

* The Berliner Morgenpost Readers' Prize went to Magnolia by Paul Thomas Anderson.

* The Berliner Zeitung Readers' Prize went to Long Night's Journey Into Day by Francis Reed and Deborah Hoffmann.

* The 15th Peace Film Prize 2000 was awarded to Long Night's Journey Into Day.

Monday* The Don Quixote Prize of the international umbrella organisation for film societies (FICC) went to I Earini Synaxis Ton Agrofylakon (The Spring Gathering). A special mention went to Monday and Ruang Tolok 69 by Pen-ek Ratanaruang.

* The NETPAC Prize went to Bariwali by Rituparno Gosh and Nabbie No Koy by Yuji Nakae. A special mention went to Making Sun-Dried Red Peppers by Jang Hee-Sun.
