Babelsberg Film GmbH has appointed two new managing directors, Karsten Bruenig and Kai May. To join the team in April as creative head is Dirk Beinhold. "In the past we did a lot of co-productions where we were the minority partner; we now want to do more productions we see through 100%," said May, who has been with Babelsberg since 1995, most recently as head of business affairs and, since 1997, as company attorney.
According to May, both international and German productions will be on the company's production agenda with the first project ready in 1999. "We want to serve the international market but also to have success in Germany," he said. LF
