TFI International
TF1 International has acquired two films – En cas de malheur (In All
Innocence) and What I Did For Love – for worldwide distribution. The two
new French pick-ups complete a 13-pic sales slate of English, French and
Spanish-language product from TF1 International, which is rapidly emerging
as a top sales company in continental Europe, with local fare, quality
other-language films and an number of increasingly ambitious English-language
pictures.
Starring Carole Bouquet, En cas de Malheur is a remake of the Jean
Gabin/ Brigitte Bardot original, which in turn inspired a US studio remake.
The French- and English-language What I Did For Love, a romantic comedy,
stars Ophelia Winter, Jean-Marc Barr and Racquel Welch.
Max Saidel, head of int’l sales and distribution at TF1, confirmed
to Moving Pictures at Berlin that the Luc Besson-based Taxi has now sold
to Italy (Cecchi Gori), Germany (Tobis), Comstock in Japan and Spring for
Taiwan. JH
