Miramax is believed to have picked up North American and UK rights to Bruno Barreto's O que é isso, companheiro? (Four Days in September), which played in competition at Berlin on Sunday.
The deal was reportedly sealed at Berlin with international sales company Pandora after Harvey Weinstein, co-president of Miramax, attended a private screening on Sunday night. Pandora's head of sales, Sudy Coy, declined to comment on a specific agreement with Miramax but said Four Days had 'sold all over the world'. No senior Miramax staff could be reached for comment.
Fine Line has snapped up US rights to Didier. Sold by President, the French pic is directed by Alain Chabat. JH
