How to touch an Angel

At the European Film Market, Denmark's Angel Film has finalised a Scandinavian deal for Paul Schrader's Touch - the Bridget Fonda-Christopher Walken-Tom Arnold starrer - in a first move to expand its distribution activities.

'Having recently concentrated on production of - among others - Amir Rezazadeh's To mænd i en sofa (Two on a Couch), we are now back on track,' said head of sales and acquisitions Lene Ingemann.

Established 11 years ago by Mogens Glad, the company has previously distributed such films as Family Viewing, Speaking Parts and the Blue-White-Red trilogy, the latter in collaboration with Camera Film.

Touch, which opened last week (14 February) in the US, is the story of a young man, Juvenal, with the ability to heal people with his touch. When word gets out, he finds himself at the centre of a growing media circus.

Produced by Oscar-winning Lila Cazes (Leaving Las Vegas), with newcomer Skeey Ulrich as Juvenal, the film will be released in Germany by Kinowelt and in the UK by Guild. Jørn Rossing Jensen
