Bavaria Film International has sold German box-office success Jenseits der Stille (Beyond Silence) to Cinemien Film and Video Distribution for The Netherlands, Pandora Co for Japan and Shapira Films for Israel.
The sales follow Bavaria Film's recent acquisitions drive, which began late last year and has seen this year's slate expand from one or two new in-house productions a year to up to ten theatrical and television titles.
Bavaria's Michael Weber maintained further acquisitions were pending movement on current titles, particularly Das Leben ist eine Baustelle. 'We'll be looking for films that can travel,' he said. 'There's no specific type of film, just no comedies.'
Bavaria also sold Die Sturzflieger and Go Trabbi Go to ASK Video for Russia. Adam Minns
