Brussels bonus

Belgium's Jan Bucquoy, whose The Sexual Life of the Belgians Part II is presented at the market by Brussels AVE, is in Berlin with his latest work. The short Entartement de Daniel Toscan du Plantier au 49. Festival de Cannes details a man's fall from grace via a well aimed custard tart, thrown by the director.

In Berlin, Brussels AVE's Jochen D. Girsch and Marie-do de la Patelliere are also handing sales on two competition films: Under Western Eyes by Joseph Pitchhadze and Shochiku's Setouchi Moonlight Serenade by Masahiro Shinoda. For the latter, Brussels AVE holds German-speaking rights only.

Girsch is said to be optimistic about Robbe de Hert's Gaston's War. Also screening is Yong-kyun Bae's exploration of identity The People in White, and Colleen Murphy's Shoemaker, represented in tandem with Cinema Esperanca.
