
Nu Image's president, Danny Dimbort, has brought one of his company's most ambitious projects to date to the AFM. It is Peter Markle's action thriller Frankie the Fly, produced by Elie Samaha, now in post-production with a Cannes premier likely, according to Dimbort. The Mafia, action thriller stars Dennis Hopper as Frankie with Kiefer Sutherland, Darryl Hannah and Michael Madsen in support, a cast which is certain to appeal to high bidding international buyers.
During the market Nu Image will be screening Eric Roper's Warhead with Frank Zagarino and Joe Lara which was shot in South Africa. Besides Warhead, other films on the Nu Image slate to get their first full market screenings during the AFM include Arron Norris' family, action adventure, The Forest Warrior, with Chuck Norris, now a hot property in the US again thanks to the success of his television series Walker:Texas Ranger on CBS; John Eyres' action thriller, Judge & Jury with David Keith and Martin Kove; Allan Eastman's action adventure, Danger Zone, with Billy Zane, Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa, Ron Silver and Robert Downey Jr.; and Sidney Furie's action-thriller, Hollow Point, which offers another strong cast of Thomas Ian Griffith, Tia Carrere, Donald Sutherland and John Lithgow.
Christopher Pickard
